ASAH was built in 1996 under the influence of several Christian associations in order to put actions together and encourage reflexion. Since 2004 the association has developed accessible tools for all in order to facilitate humanitary action.

Today ASAH develops the following main projects:

a Web portal on international solidarity
Information portal put online in 2001 by ASAH and visited by 1,500 people per day : members have access to multiple services such as a material exchange system, a forum on the research of partners, a database that includes nearly 950 humanitary associations, organisms, institutions that can be useful for their humanitary activity.

__the Cartouches Solidaires action (solidary cartridges), an eco-firendly and solidary gesture
Used ink cartridges collected for this nationwide operation help finance solidarity projects : print cartridges (ink and laser printers) are collected for free and recycled by a partner recycling firm (ISO 14001). This worth growth creates gains that are entirely poured into projects developed by international solidarity associations, members of the operation.

the organisation of the Salon des Solidarités (Fair of Solidarities)
ASAH was the coordinator and the host of the Salon National de l'Humanitaire (National Fair of the Humanitarian sector) in 2005 and 2006 and co-organised the Salon des Solidarités in 2007 and 2008.

Since its creation in 1996 Humanis's aim is to give sense to insertion and provide means to the humanitarian sector.

Humanis is a platform of more than 100 international solidarity associations. Its aim is to give administrative, technical and logistic support to member associations that lead solidarity projects (health, education, rural development, microcredit programmes...) in more than 40 countries.

Each year more than 70 people with socio-professional difficuties can be taken in and carry out logistic activities (collecting, stocking, rehabilitation) thanks to an insertion workshop.

Network coordination activities include the organisation of the Forum Humani-Terre (Forum for the humanitarian sector and the Earth), which gathers more than 2'000 people in Strasbourg and Mulhouse and already counts six editions. Humanis also organises European meetings which allow the general public and NGO from France and Germany to discuss about the stakes of the European cooperation and international solidarity.

Within the framework of this coordination mission Humanis joined the animation team of the second Salon National de l'Humanitaire in 2006 and was responsible of the organisation of activities aimed at children on the Early Sensibility to Solidarity Area. In 2007 and 2008 the platform co-organised the Salon des Solidarités.
